A RED IDEA
alt rock / psych folk
A mix of lunatic songwriting and sonic excursions driven by a lazy voice, telling you how life can be surrealistic and bittersweet… often at the same time. This is one of the many ways you could describe the kaleidoscopic music of A Red Idea.
Behind the moniker is Alvise Forcellini, a singer-songwriter from Venice, Italy. After spending most of his life wandering all around the globe, he has finally found inspiration and home in front of the lagoon.
Inspired by lo-fi heroes like Syd Barrett , Smog and obscure indie rock bands, Alvise home-recorded a quantity of songs, mixing textures of guitars and vintage synths. Discovered by Beautiful Losers, he finally produced and released his music.
I see my music as an imaginary walk under the sea. If you look at the world around you, it’s so strange, yet so familiar. You dive in the sounds, and you may emerge stronger.
Bed Sea Walks has been one of the first Beautiful Losers releases. The new album A Second I Will Forget will be out on 2023.

In the nine tracks of his new album, A Red Idea reflects on the small and big things in life, imagining flying ("Above You"), narrating a perfect afternoon ("In The Sunshine"), inventing stories ("For you and I"), or delving into philosophical reflections in "Life Was Only," whose lyrics give the album its title: "What does it matter to me / life is just a nightmare inside a dream / a second I will forget."
