GINTSUGI
chamber pop / dark pop
Gintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing pottery by mending the areas of breakage with silver dust. Each fracture becomes something beautiful, making the object unique. In the same way, Gintsugi’s music exposes the beauty of imperfections, turning our broken sides into art.
Behind the moniker is the Italian French singer and multi-instrumentalist Luna Paese. She composes her work with piano, electronic, guitars and her unique voice. Her self-titled EP was produced by Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave, Einsturzende Neubauten, Beth Orton) while the single Outside was produced by Road Nevo (SIA, Air).
My music wraps shadows with light, exposing the beauty of our imperfections. I create stories from feelings under the lens, and they take a life of their own.
Her first full-length album, produced with Beautiful Losers, “The Elephant In The Room” is out now.

Gintsugi’s first full-length album is a testament to overflowing creativity, unique musical approach, capturing a mixture of neo-classical elements with sprawling production and Kate Bush and Bjork-esque songwriting. Talking about the album, Ginsugi explains: “If it were a tarot card, the album would be the Nameless Arcane. Born of desolation and great solitude, it rests on the backbone of things. It’s a direct confrontation with reality. A disappointment, but also the realization that you can sometimes find nourishment where you’ve never looked. And the endurance to carry on, despite everything.“
