ONCEWERESIXTY
slacker / lo-fi
In the digital age, Onceweresixty are the perfect antidote for those who appreciate analog vibes and DIY spirit. Their music is raw, uncompromised, bittersweet and totally garage-recorded. At the same time, it’s hard to believe how they manage to create such perfect pop melodies.
Onceweresixty members are Marco Lorenzoni (voice, guitar) and Luca Sella (drums). Enrico Grando joined the group later. Being a great guitar player and saxophonist, he is naturally assigned to the synth.
Ghostly keyboards, crooked drums, lazy guitars… and, on the top of it, those great vocal lines. Every song is beautifully wrong, naturally unpolished, absolutely imperfect.
The indie dream is actually over. We live in a post-apocalyptic land full of zombies. Anger and ignorance are everywhere. All is lost. Or maybe not.
Onceweresixty have released two albums with Beautiful Losers and Uglydog Records.
A beautiful gatefold jacket with 2 printed cardboard panels + 12’’ black vinyl + BL card
The second album by Onceweresixty is in fact a double EP. Loco Sunset shows their lo-fi bittersweet melodic quality at its best, with 5 indie pop jewels. Ghetto Blast exposes their experimental attitude with 4 weird, noisy psychedelic tracks. Always garage-recorded, always absolutely imperfect.
Supported by Beautiful Losers and Uglydogs Records.
