ROSGOS
alternative / new wave
Get ready for a journey into the darkest sides of human heart. Between post-grunge memories, new wave atmospheres and southern rock vibes, RosGos paints a landscape where you could easily meet the ghosts of Mark Lanegan and Layne Staley killing time together.
Behind the moniker is Maurizio Vaiani, former frontman of the band Jenny’s Joke. His first solo album was Canzoni nella notte. But it’s Lost In The Desert where RosGos really finds his dimension, between tormented folk ballads and dark electric rides over the desert dust.
His new album Circles is a gothic trip inspired by Dante’s Inferno. Circles has nine songs, each one set in a Hell’s circle. For the first time, RoGos music flirts with electronic beats and glitch overtones. The album was promoted with two music videos, connected as a single plot.
My music is a painting of the darkest night. Hidden in a corner there's usually a small door. Once I'm in, I find everything I need.
RosGos is recording his fourth album.

After the desert post-folk of Lost In The Desert and the descent into the Dantean hell of Circles, the light returns with No Place, the final album of the trilogy. But don’t be deceived — this is a light that can heal but also blind.
No Place blends the torment of the cursed heroes of the '90s (with Mark Lanegan and Layne Staley leading the way) with the alternately somber and airy sounds of certain new-wave influences, resulting in a sound that is entirely personal.
